It has a staggering fleet size of 790 aircraft, which operates worldwide with access to 342 destinations. Even though the airline has a large network of domestic and international routes, its presence is extensive in the Asia-Pacific region. United Airlines is also a founding member of the world's largest airline alliance- Star Alliance. United has eight hubs altogether out of which Chicago-O'Hare is the largest. The airline has been given a 5-star rating by Skytrax and it is one of the top 10 airlines in the world.

Pregnant When Flying:

Pregnant women are allowed to select their seats if not pre-selected at least 20 minutes before the departure and are not allowed to sit on emergency seats. As per United Airlines' flying when pregnant policy, women in their 36th week or above (single or multiple pregnancy) cannot fly with United Airlines. In the rest of the cases, United Airlines' child policy permits pregnant women (multiple or single pregnancies) to board United Airlines flights if they provide a medical certificate within 10 days of the flight stating they are fit to fly.

United Airlines Infant Policy (under 2 years or Children):

An infant sitting on a lap can fly without charges. If you are bringing another one, you must purchase a seat for him/her and a child car seat, approved and authorised by United Airlines and international aviation policies. An adult passenger is allowed 2 infants aged under 2 years to bring with them onboard. Baby aged less than 8 days are not permitted to fly onboard, the only exception is you provide a letter of approval from a physician stating that the newborn bay is fit to fly. United Airlines' child policy allows infants aged between 8 days and 2 years and children aged between 2 to 12 years to travel with their parents or guardians on United Airlines flights.

United Airlines Child Fare:

The child fare is calculated on a certain percentage of the adult fare. Your child is required to purchase a ticket if he/she is 2 years or older, they have turned 2 years or older during the flight, or you are traveling with 2 children; the one who is sitting on the seat needs to purchase a United Airlines ticket. For international flights, irrespective of your baby’s age, you are obliged to purchase a ticket for your little one. Infants travelling on the lap can travel free of cost within US domestic travel.

United Airlines Child Seating Policy:

If you bring a single infant, he/she can sit on your lap, but if there is another one, you need to purchase an additional seat along with a child bassinet according to the FAA-approved child restraint system. Passengers can request onboard bassinets or SkyCots free of cost through United Airlines reservations. At selected international airports, bassinets or SkyCots are available free of cost.

United Airlines Child Meal:

For child and infant meals, United Airlines' child policy offers nutritious and chewable food without containing species. The meal items include chopped and mashed foods.
